School Receptionist & Attendance Officer

1 x 35 hours per week: 8.30am–4pm.
1 x 14 hours per week (Thursday & Friday): 8:30am–4pm.
Term time + 1 week (to be worked Inset & holidays (39 weeks).
Salary range: Grade C: £24,027–£24,790 pro-rata. 


The Burghfield Common Federation is dedicated to creating a supportive and inclusive environment where every child and adult can succeed. We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic School Receptionist to join our team and contribute to the smooth running of the receptions at both our schools, Mrs Blands Infant & Nursery and Garland Junior School. 

The school office is a very busy environment and the role includes a wide range of office duties coupled with interaction with the whole school community. Knowledge of Bromcom would be an advantage; however, full training would be provided. Responsibilities will include providing an efficient, professional and welcoming front-of-house service to staff, pupils, parents and visitors in addition to providing administration support to the office. Experience of working in a school would be an advantage but not essential.

  • Has excellent literacy, numeracy and IT skills 
  • Excellent communication, organised, interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team

  • Will contribute to the overall ethos, work and aims of the school
