Who are we?
Polehampton CE Infant School and Polehampton CE Junior School are separate two-form-entry schools across two sites, which operate with one Senior Leadership Team and one Local Governing Body. The Polehampton schools are set within large grounds and have excellent opportunities for the pupils, including a swimming pool at the Junior site and Forest School provision at both sites. Both schools are proud members of The Keys Academy Trust. Our Infant school was recently rated Good by Ofsted (with an Outstanding Early Years), and our Junior school was inspected in November 2024 and achieved Good in all areas.

Early Years Practitioner
Salary Grade Point 4, 7–11: £25,584 - £27,269.
Full time, 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 3.30pm.

We’re looking for a caring, enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner to join our team and help give our youngest children the very best start to their school journey.

The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and support staff to create a warm, stimulating and safe environment that promotes early learning through play, exploration and positive relationships. Guided by our school vision, Let your light shine, you will help each child grow in confidence and curiosity as they begin their learning journey.

The role we are offering has the following key details for applicants:

• Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare. 
• Recent experience working with children aged 3–5. 
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Teaching Assistants
Salary Grade 3, Scale Point 5–17: £24,790–£25,183 FTE; actual salary pro rata,
depending on hours.
Full or part time roles, 30 hours a week: Monday to Friday, 08:30–15:30
or on a part time basis to be discussed at interview.
Term time only, permanent role, following completion of a successful probation period.
Candidates could work in any year group.
September 2025 start.

Key details about the role:

TAs are an essential part of the school community. In the past TAs in schools were used as administrative support, such as washing up paint pots and photocopying. Nowadays TAs are utilised as skilled professionals who make a real difference to the outcomes of pupils. The role will provide you with the chance to work under the guidance of excellent and knowledgeable teaching staff, providing learning support to individuals and groups that enable access to learning for all pupils.
