Speenhamland School is seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable and compassionate SENCO to join our dedicated team. We recognise that talented SENCOs are looking for flexibility, so we are offering two possible roles:

Option 1: Part-Time SENCO (3 days per week)
2.5 days SENCO leadership and 0.5 day teaching

This role offers the opportunity to lead and develop SEND provision across the school while maintaining a valuable connection to classroom practice through a regular teaching commitment.

Option 2: Full-Time SENCO
2.5 days SENCO leadership and 2.5 days teaching

A full-time role combining strategic SEND leadership with classroom teaching, allowing you to drive inclusive practice across the school while remaining closely connected to pupils and teaching and learning.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is passionate about inclusive education and improving outcomes for pupils with SEND.
• Has strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Can build positive relationships with pupils, families, staff and external professionals.
• Has a clear understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and current best practice.
• Is committed to removing barriers to learning and promoting belonging for all.
• Holds the National Award for SEN Coordination or is willing to undertake it.
