Violin Teacher

Approximately 12/18 hours per week.

Berkshire Maestros, lead organisation of the Berkshire Music Hub, is seeking to appoint an experienced and creative violin teacher (approx.12/18 hours per week) from January 2019 to join an expanding strings department in the Wokingham/ Bracknell area. 

Berkshire Maestros has a first class tradition for violin playing and the high quality teaching and learning within the strings department is a central part to the ongoing success of the music hub. As an inspirational and highly motivated violin specialist, your responsibility will be to teach violin to all children and young people across the 5-18 age range, instilling technical and musical development and real excitement for learning. 

The successful applicant will be expected to teach individual and group lessons as well as deliver First Access Programmes (Wider Opportunities) as required and there is also the possibility to coach on the Berkshire Maestros Academy scheme for gifted and talented young musicians. There will also be opportunities to take part in the active recruitment of pupils and part of the role will be to attend local, county and national event/concerts as appropriate.
