Grove Academy is an all-through school which opened in 2017 with both primary and secondary classes and will grow each year to a full capacity of 1,940 including a 6th form.
Our project-based curriculum is developing via ‘Big Questions’ and enables all pupils to place their learning within a real-life context with concrete experiences. We are working closely with local businesses and organisations to ensure that our pupils leave Grove Academy with the skills and character that employers seek.
Grove is attempting to blur the lines between primary and secondary so that we can learn from the best practices of both. As a result, staff can work with colleagues from different phases and help us shape an unusual offer for our pupils. Our new school building has been designed to ensure that we can work as one caring community.
This is a great opportunity for an ambitious secondary school leader to join the school to work alongside the Principal and take a lead role in driving standards and expectations across the whole school. The vacancy is ideal for a dedicated and talented school leader to develop further as a senior leader and take the next step towards headship. Although we are looking for a person with secondary experience, this role is a whole school one and the ideal candidate is one who can help us develop our ethos of ‘One School, One Community, One Vision’.
