We need Catch-Up Tutors!

Start as soon as possible from January 2021.
Salary £35 per hour inclusive of Outer London Weighting.
Contract type: As and when temporary contact (6 months).

We are looking for good primary teachers to join this popular and high achieving school, as a Catch-Up Tutor.

The Catch-Up program is a school-designed package and funded through a modest government grant. The aim of the funding is to support children who have been particularly affected by the pandemic. Schools have been tasked with supporting children of all abilities and we have chosen to focus on particular aspects of English and Mathematics.

Each Catch-Up intervention will have a very specific focus, will be for a small (8–12) number of children, over a limited time period (10 hours plus 2 hours preparation, marking and assessment time).

Our aim is for this to be a bespoke and intensive program that will help mitigate the gaps in learning caused by the pandemic. We are planning to run the program across the remainder of the academic year, selecting different children as we identify gaps in their learning that need additional support.

Your role would be to plan and then deliver the intervention, in consultation with the class teacher. We want the program to be delivered after school (3.30pm–4.30pm) and/or in the mornings through school holidays, you would then be able to work with more than one group.
