Teaching Assistants

Level 2;  2 roles available. Based at Park Lane Primary School.
From September 2019. Grade/Salary: RG3 SCP 5–11 (from £9.74 per hour).
Term-time only, 1:1 Role Part-time: 25 hrs per week, Monday to Friday.
Teaching Assistant Class Role Part-Time: 20 hrs per week, Monday to Friday.
Permanent Contract (6 months probationary period).
(Successful candidates will normally start at the first point of the grade
to which they are appointed).

The Governors of the Federation of Moorlands and Park Lane Primary Schools wish to appoint a 1:1 Teaching Assistant AND a class teaching assistant to be based at Park Lane Primary School. The successful applicant may be required to work at other sites within the Federation.

We are looking for people who:

  • have experience working alongside children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) (1:1 role)
  • have experience of working with children on the Autistic spectrum (1:1 role)
  • have experience supporting children with Speech and Language needs (1:1 role)
  • are passionate about children’s learning and every child achieving their full potential
  • have lots of energy, enthusiasm and patience
  • are flexible and can work well within a team
  • have a sense of humour
  • • teaching assistant NVQ an advantage
  • have a good standard of literacy, numeracy and ICT skills to GCSE/NVQ standard

The post holder will be required to work with individual children and groups of children, to support the class teacher and to contribute towards the evaluation and modification of work programmes as required. The successful candidate will be a good communicator.
