Are you looking for a stimulating and worthwhile challenge? Littledown School is a Primary Special School for young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties. 

We are seeking to employ two experienced TAs (Level 3) who can work as part of the School’s support team in order to support the learning and development of pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties. 

It is essential that the ideal candidates will: 

  • Be educated to GCSE level or equivalent 
  • Have secure knowledge and understanding of the requirements of vulnerable and challenging children who have Social, Emotional, Mental Health or medical needs. 
  • Have the ability to understand potential barriers to learning and implement strategies to overcome those barriers. 
  • Demonstrate the ability to motivate children to learn and develop. 
  • Have a positive and cheerful attitude. 
  • It would be a distinct advantage for candidates to have successful experience of managing challenging behaviour. 
  • Have the ability to communicate effectively and clearly in English both verbally and in writing.

The successful candidate must have a satisfactory enhanced disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
