Level 3: experience with working in SEN is preferable.

New Town is delighted to be expanding its specialist provision and formally establishing an Alternative Resourced Provision (ARP) from September 2024. We are looking to expand its happy and experienced existing team by appointing an additional teaching assistant to the ARP. This is an exciting expansion of our ever-evolving school family.

The Nest will cater for up to nine children with a primary need of social communication. It will continue to operate in its existing self-contained space within the school with its own beautiful garden area, and dedicated colleagues who care deeply about the children they serve.

The successful candidate may be someone with significant experience in special education, or somebody with less experience, the eagerness to learn and a strong desire to work with children with complex additional needs and physical communication. Whatever your experience we will be looking for enthusiasm and dedication to work with our fantastic children in the ARP with the guidance of the class teacher.

This role is crucial in supporting our aspirational and ‘good’ school to continue to improve, as we look to always provide the very best for our diverse children and families.
