Teaching Assistant 

Required from September 2021.
Salary grade: 4 (4–5).
£18,426 to £18,795 (full time equivalent).
30 hours per week, term time only.

Fir Tree Junior School are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant from September 2021 to join our vibrant and dynamic team of professionals. If you have the energy and drive to make a difference to children’s educational needs, we look forward to hearing from you. The successful candidate will be required to fulfil duties to support children’s learning. This will include working closely with the class teacher and creating an environment of learning where the children will thrive in their academic, social and emotional development; preparing resources, setting up for lessons, working with individual and groups of children, some of whom may have Special Educational Needs. 

Due to this post having access to children and/or vulnerable adults, candidates will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service check. The possession of a criminal record, including family members, may prevent an applicant from obtaining this post, as all cases are judged individually according to the nature of the role and information provided.
