Teaching Assistant

Required from January 2021.
Fixed Term Contract with the potential to become permanent.
9am–3:15pm Monday–Friday.
30-minute lunch break with 30-minute lunchtime controller role.
Salary Grade 3 (£19,312 - £19,698) £12,449–£12,632 actual.

We are seeking to appoint an exceptional, enthusiastic and inspirational Teaching Assistant to work with our Reception year group. As part of our early year’s staff team, the role includes providing focussed support to a child with Special Educational Needs (SEN). This role is financed through our SEN budget and will be an establishment requirement as long as that funding stream continues. 

The successful applicant will:

• Have experience of working with children and have contributed to the observation, planning, teaching and assessment cycle.
• Have some experience in working with children with SEN
• Understand how children learn through play and be able to enhance the play spontaneously.
• Be an inspirational and reflective practitioner.
• Have good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Be able to make a positive contribution to an outstanding and friendly team.
• Be committed to social inclusion.
• Be enthusiastic in order to motivate children to reach their full potential whilst providing support and challenge. 
• Has a good standard of written and spoken English.
• Ideally have a relevant qualification.
