Teacher of Business Studies

MPR/UPS – Fringe. Part-time considered. September 2019 start.
Applications from NQTs and more experienced teachers welcome.
Closing date: 9am, Monday 20 May 2019.

Due to the retirement of a long standing teacher at our school, we are seeking to recruit a dynamic full or part time Teacher of Business Studies. They will join our Business and IT department which comprises 4 teachers who are dedicated to bringing the world of technology and enterprise to life for the students they teach. Prior experience of teaching Level 2 and 3 BTEC Business, and GCSE Business Studies would be advantageous. In return for your passion, commitment and drive, we offer a highly supportive working environment and have students who are intellectually curious and keen to learn. Uptake for Business Studies courses at our school is high, and the department enjoy excellent resources and accommodation.

Easthampstead Park is a vibrant school which prides itself on holding traditional values. Our school culture marries high academic expectations with excellent pastoral care and support. Teaching and learning drives everything we do. We are committed to freeing teachers from unnecessary bureaucracy so they can focus on what really matters: marking, planning and teaching as effectively as possible. An action-research based approach to teaching and learning has been central to our improvement journey in recent years, and we wholeheartedly believe in investing in staff’s continued professional development in the same way that we expect our teachers to passionately invest in our students.

This is a very exciting time to join us. In recent years, we have made excellent progress, and at our last OFSTED inspection (June 2016), we were rated as ‘good’ in all areas.

We aspire to be rated ‘outstanding’, driven by a core belief that all of our students deserve nothing but the best possible teaching and support in order to be happy, healthy and successful. We aim to deliver the best quality teaching and learning in a school where staff and students have respect for, and pride in themselves, their school and their community.

If you feel you have the necessary skills, mind-set and determination to join us on our journey towards ‘outstanding,’ we would very much like to hear from you. Visits to the school prior to application are warmly welcomed.
