Icknield is a special school for pupils aged 3–19 years with severe learning difficulties. Teaching and learning takes place in small class groups with a high level of support and a well-differentiated curriculum to meet individual needs. The school was judged Outstanding by Ofsted in Feb 2019.

If you are enthusiastic, innovative, committed and conscientious and motivated to teach pupils with severe learning difficulties then this is the opportunity for you.

We require a teacher who is able to inspire a staff team and a small class of pupils with a wide range of additional needs. We wish to appoint committed professionals who are lively and have a positive personality to join our team.

We welcome teachers with a variety of backgrounds including those with special needs experience, NQT status and teachers transferring from mainstream.

We are a small school that feels like a big family! Visits to the school are welcome.
