Christ the King is a happy and inclusive school in the heart of Whitley in Reading.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to work with a visually impaired child. You will initially be working alongside the Sensory Consortium to learn how to use specialist equipment (including braille) and deliver specialist-teaching programmes.

You will be directly working with the child in the mornings; in the afternoons you will be planning and preparing appropriate specialist resources as well as being the line manager for a Teaching Assistant who will be providing the afternoon support to the child.

We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, energetic, confident, cheerful, caring and skilful individual who has good IT skills and the ability to use their own initiative.

An application pack can be downloaded from the school website at www.christthekingreading.co.uk under School Community, Staff Vacancies.
