We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and experienced SENCO, to work with our school for 2 days per week. This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher to co-ordinate, develop and enhance the Special Needs provisions around the school.
Whitelands Park Primary School is a two-form entry primary school in Thatcham. As part of the Kennet Schools Academies Trust, the school enjoys close links with Kennet School and Francis Baily, another Primary School.
The successful candidate will work in school for two days; co-ordinating interventions across the school and ensuring the children with SEN make good progress socially and academically. They will have a good understanding of our new SEN Code of Practice and will either possess the National award for Special Needs Co-ordination or will be supported by the school to achieve it within three years of appointment.
Our children are enthusiastic and exciting, with a thirst for knowledge.
You would work alongside an experienced team of Teaching Assistants and Full-time Family Support Worker.
