SENCo

  • 0.8 to cover maternity leave (12 month contract).
  • Pay grade MPS/UPS plus TLR 2b pa.
  • Required by February 2026.

Polehampton Infant and Junior Schools are looking for a SENCo to lead the Special Educational Needs policy and provision from 4–11 across both schools.

You will: 

  • Be a qualified teacher with a proven record of excellent teaching to meet children’s needs, both academically and socially.
  • Have experience of conducting training and supporting colleagues.
  • Be a champion for children with additional needs and/or in receipt of Pupil Premium.
  • Have a sound knowledge of quality first teaching as described within the SEND Code of Practice.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills with pupils, staff and families and other agencies.
  • Have a good knowledge of safeguarding policies such as Keeping Children Safe in Education.
  • Hold the NPQSENCO Qualification (desirable).
