Science Technician

To start as soon as possible.
37 hours weekly term time only plus 5 INSET/Twilights.
Hours 8am–4pm Monday to Thursday; 8am–3.30pm Friday.
NJC Level 4, Points 8–12: actual starting salary £22,042.85 (FTE £25,742).


We have a vacancy for a flexible and well organised team player to join our existing team of technicians to support our large Science Department. The faculty consists of 11 laboratories and two large modern prep rooms.

The ideal candidate must have science qualifications up to ‘A’ level or equivalent and a genuine interest and love of science. They must be proactive and able to work independently in a supportive environment.

The job entails preparation and organisation of resources for the smooth operation of science lessons and maintenance of equipment and laboratories.

Any previous experience in a similar role will be advantageous but enthusiastic trainees are also invited to apply. Training, development and progression opportunities are encouraged and available for the right person.
