Above all you will be interested in young people, supporting them in their studies and their personal development.
The school is a very popular co-educational 11–18 selective school, located within easy reach of Langley station and Junction 5 of the M4. We have approximately 1090 students, 300 of whom are in the Sixth Form; the school is heavily over-subscribed and expectations of students and staff are high. The school was last inspected by Ofsted in 2007, and was graded outstanding in all categories. In February 2020 a new teaching block will be opening, and all science teaching will take place in the brand new state of the art building.
All staff have the option to join the Local Government Pension Scheme (a career average scheme), the employee pays 5.8% and the School contributes a further 19.6%.
An information pack and an application form can be downloaded from the school website at www.lgs.slough.sch.uk.
The application form must be completed; the School cannot accept CVs on their own although they may be included along with the application form and a covering letter.
Applications should be returned by midday on Monday 09 December 2019 addressed to Mr G Trigg, Business Manager, or by email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
