Salary RG3 5-11 FTE range £18,795 - £21,166 pa
Actual £10,159 - £11,441 pa
20 hours per week, 7 – 10am, 5.15 – 6.15pm

We are seeking to appoint a reliable and resourceful Caretaker to join our supportive staff team at Caversham Park Primary School in Reading. The Caretaker will be responsible for the operation, management, maintenance and security of the school site and buildings.

You will offer the school:

  • commitment to pupil welfare and the wider school community
  • skills in DIY and property maintenance, working indoors and outdoors
  • knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and the ability to apply this in a school environment
  • a practical approach to problem solving.

This position will require additional overtime in the evenings for unlocking and locking for school lettings and comes with a 3-bedroom on-site bungalow subject to rent payable to Reading Borough Council (at a favourable rate).

We are keen to receive applications from proactive and driven individuals who can demonstrate experience of working in a similar environment. Training will be available.
