Job Title: Learning Support Assistant.
Location: Riseley Green School, Reading RG7 1QF.
Salary: £20,906.25 per annum (not pro rata).
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm.
Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only.
Start date: November 2025.

As a Learning Support Assistant you’ll play a key role in making that happen. Working closely with teachers and tutors you’ll help create a positive, engaging classroom environment where every pupil feels valued and supported.

Key responsibilities:

• Support teachers and tutors in delivering engaging, individualised learning experiences
• Provide one-to-one and small group support to help pupils access the curriculum and reach their goals
• Promote pupils’ personal, social, and emotional development through encouragement and positive relationships
• Help create and maintain inspiring classroom environments and resources
• Uphold school policies and safeguarding practices to ensure every child feels safe, respected, and supported

What you’ll need

• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (due to school location)
• A caring, compassionate approach and a genuine desire to make a difference
• Flexibility, creativity, and a willingness to learn as part of a dynamic team
