Learning Support Assistant 

£13,300–£13,550 pa (actual salary), depending on experience.
Part time, 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term time only.
Start time 8.45am with a finish time of 3.15pm (includes a half hour unpaid break)

We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable individual to join our team of Learning Support Assistants working under the direction of teaching staff to help our students access the curriculum and succeed with their learning. 

You will: 

  • Work under the direction of classroom teachers and, in line with any agreed special needs and other specialist plans, provide support to individual students in the completion of a wide range of learning activities in all subjects and at all key stages. 
  • Provide support and encourage students to become independent learners by ensuring effective use of differentiated instructions and tasks provided by teachers. 
  • With training and support take small groups of students for intervention work and to help them to develop their social and communication skills. 

We are looking for a team player, with a willingness to acquire an understanding of the educational objectives and ethos of the school. Someone who enjoys working and interacting with young people and who would be interested in working in an educational environment with students who require support would be ideal for this role.
