Learning Support Assistant

Start date: 1st January 2019.
30 hours a week. Term time only, fixed term one year contract.
Salary grade B: £16,495–17,007 pro rata.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring and committed individual to become a Learning Support Assistant at Garland Junior School. You will provide support for a child with social and emotional mental health needs who struggles to integrate with their peers and take part in classroom learning.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have experience of working in a Key Stage 2 setting.
  • Have a good knowledge of how to support pupils with social/emotional mental health needs.
  • Communicate clearly and calmly.
  • Be an excellent team worker.
  • Enjoy providing children with memorable and positive experiences.
