Learning Mentor

Required for January 2019.
Full Time (Term time only with 6 weeks paid holiday).
Salary: £19,500 to £21, 000. 


Beech Lodge is a unique alternative independent special school for children and young people who are unable to achieve their potential in a conventional school setting. 

We are looking for dynamic, compassionate and energetic individual to join our team as a Learning Mentor in our Transition Hub from January 2019. 

Relevant experience essential. You will be working with KS3 and KS4 pupils supporting their academic, social and emotional needs. 

The role includes:

  • helping learners who are underperforming in their subjects, either on a one-to-one basis outside the classroom or within lessons;
  • implementing strategies and supporting learners in self-esteem and confidence-building activities;
  • listening to and helping learners resolve a range of issues that are creating barriers to learning;
