Addington School – Be Part of Our Success!

EmployAbility, Lets Work Together is a supported Internship programme that from September 2019 will be based at three sites locally (National Grid, Wokingham, Johnson and Johnson, Finchamstead and Wokingham Borough Council). As a school, we have worked hard to extend this supported internship to meet the needs of learners with learning difficulties across Wokingham. This is a wonderful opportunity for the right candidate to be able to grow and learn and to contribute to developing the programme further for future years.

The Job Coach will be responsible for the Interns' overall welfare and education when on-site and will play an integral role in building up the relationships with managers and teams in the linked business. To support your role, training in aspects of systematic instruction will be provided as well as a comprehensive induction programme.

The successful candidate must be polite, professional and friendly at all times with customers, clients and colleagues. They will be able to demonstrate a can-do attitude towards the programme and its ambitious plans, whilst being able to act with honesty and integrity. They will have exceptional interpersonal skills both in person and by phone, with high professionalism and excellent written and spoken English. Successful candidates will be tactful, and be able to respect that managers and employees also have a day job around supporting EmployAbility.

We have job coach roles available starting in September 2019. We welcome full and part time applications.
