Internal Exclusion Room (IER) Manager

To start as soon as possible.
37 hours a week, term time only plus INSET.
Hours of work: 8am–4pm, Monday to Thursday; 8am–3.30pm Friday.
Grade 4, £18,870–£20,541 (Actual Salary £15,655–£17,042 depending on experience).

The Bulmershe School in Woodley near Reading is seeking a Manager for their IER (Internal Exclusion Room). The successful candidate will share and communicate the values and ethos of the school, possess excellent communication, organisational skills and team work. They will be responsible for the welfare of students and ensure that they follow the school’s Behaviour and Reward Policy.

The successful candidate will work within the Internal Exclusion room, supporting students and ensuring they stay focused on their work during their time there. This job includes dealing with students who display challenging behaviour, communicating regularly with Heads of Year and Senior Leaders. You will keep thorough and up-to-date records of the behavioural journey of the students through the IER and be a good role model. You will be able to develop professional, firm, fair and caring relationships with students and be helpful and welcoming to parents and others, visiting or making contact with the school.
