St Edward’s Catholic First School is a good school with an excellent reputation for high expectations and pupils who are well behaved and keen to learn.

We are looking to recruit a full-time Head of School. The Head of School will work alongside an Executive Headteacher. The successful candidate will run the day-to-day operations of St Edward’s Catholic First School.

You will lead a skilled and dedicated team who are committed to making a real difference in the lives of our students and their families. 

We are looking for a leader who will: 

• Be responsible for shaping a learning community rooted in Catholic values and beliefs.
• Champion the rights and aspirations of our pupils, placing them at the heart of everything we do. 
• Lead with clarity, empathy and ambition, building on our school’s strong foundations. 
• Inspire and support staff to deliver outstanding teaching and personalised learning. 
• Foster a culture of high expectations, continuous improvement, and innovation. 
• Collaborate effectively with the Executive Headteacher to ensure that key principles and priorities for the school are evident in its organisation and management. 

A practising Catholic is essential.

The children at our school are extremely hardworking and keen to learn; the parents are very supportive and there are strong parish links. Overall, the school is an extremely happy place to work.
