Inclusion Lead Teacher

High Close School is a flourishing residential and day special school catering for up to 94 young people with a complex range of needs. Ofsted has judged education to be Good (March 2018) and residential care to be Outstanding (Sept 2019). We are seeking an ambitious and inspirational individual to lead our new inclusion and alternative curriculum provision.

They will have high expectations of learning and behaviour and a belief in the capacity of every child to achieve. We believe in children and work with hope to encourage young people to reach their full potential.

  • • An excellent classroom practitioner
  • • Has or is ready for the challenge of Middle Leadership
  • • Highly creative and adaptable in the ways they work with young people and other teachers.
  • • Calm and patient even in difficult situations.
  • • Able to build positive relationships at all levels, wanting to make a difference to the lives of young people
  • • Able to analyse data and report on emerging trends and progress to inform pupil’s social, emotional and academic needs.

You will have a sound knowledge and background in working with vulnerable and complex young people and embrace creative ways to deliver all aspects of the curriculum. This is a real opportunity to lead and develop this exciting new provision within the school and to have a real impact on the experience of our young people.
