HLTA Primary Behaviour Support

Fixed term, September 2019–March 2020. Full time, 37 hours; term time only.
Salary: RG5 (SCP 22–28) £26, 317–£31,371 pa. Actual salary: £21,752–£25, 930 pa.

We are looking to appoint a HLTA to support the primary behaviour support team. You will be based in the Primary PRU and local mainstream schools, helping to reduce exclusions across Reading, whilst developing a therapeutic and nurturing way of working with the most vulnerable pupils.

Cranbury College was judged ‘GOOD’ by Ofsted in Feb 2018. We are a multi-site organisation which includes a Primary Site, KS4 Site – Futures, KS3 Site – Pathways, Post 16 Site – Vision. We have an Outreach Behaviour Support Team, offer medical tuition and have a Hospital Teaching service.

Cranbury College is a 132 place alternative curriculum provider, including a Hospital Teaching Service, Behaviour Support Team, Secondary and Primary PRU, Individual Learning Programs, and a Post 16 provider.  

Reading Borough Council currently commission 100 places from Cranbury College to meet the needs of some of Reading’s most vulnerable and disadvantaged young people. The College also offers bespoke individual learning packages to those with complex needs and those who have difficulties accessing any of the College’s sites.
