Welford and Wickham CE Primary School is proudly part of the Kite Primary Federation, alongside Stockcross CE Primary School. 

Situated off the B4000 and tucked away down Welford Road, Welford and Wickham Primary offers a small and nurturing environment with a warm, supportive community. Located on the outskirts of Newbury, we are within easy reach of Hungerford, the A34 and M4. 

We are seeking a passionate and committed Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team, supporting teaching and learning across all our classes. 

The successful candidate will: 

• Have at least three years experience of working with children across the primary age range (Reception to Year 6).
• Be confident in teaching small groups and whole classes, including covering for teacher absence.
• Hold (or be working towards) HLTA professional status, with strong literacy, numeracy and ICT skills.
• Demonstrate the ability to motivate and inspire pupils, and to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Contract details: 

• 31 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term time only
• Permanent contract
• Salary range: Grade F (£14.58 – £16.61 per hour)
