Grade F; total 32.5 hours over 5 days.

We have a vacancy for an experienced HLTA to work as part of our fantastic team providing 1:1 and small group support in our Doves Provision. Our Doves Provision has been established to provide a quieter, nurturing environment for the children who are finding it difficult to learn in our mainstream classrooms.

You will be working under our SENDCO to lead on the delivery and evaluation of an established timetable of learning activities alongside another dedicated teaching assistant. Doves Provision has exclusive use of its own well-resourced learning space.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have a calm, consistent and friendly approach to their work and be able to develop great professional relationships with children, families and colleagues 
• Have experience of and enjoy working with children who have a range of additional needs and be able to support them to access learning, enjoy their lessons and make good progress against their individual targets
• Have a thorough understanding of therapeutic thinking and a strong track record of implementing this approach with vulnerable children
• Be able to evaluate the impact of provision and respond to recommendations from our SENDCO and external agencies
• Be committed to personal development and be willing to engage in CPD – particularly in relation to school development priorities and the specific needs of our Doves cohort
