Leadership Scale, L25-L31: £73,223–£84,637 pa (A discretionary allowance may be considered for an exceptional candidate)
Full time, 52 weeks pa. Permanent. Required for January 2020.

Claycots School proudly claims to be the UK’s largest maintained primary school, with 1,700 pupils currently on roll over two campuses, growing to over 1,850 in the next few years. The school is also one of the highest oversubscribed schools in Slough. The Britwell Campus is a large primary school site with over 800 pupils and four forms of entry. 

The Governing Body and Executive Headteacher are looking for an outstanding experienced primary school leader to join them in an exceptional time of growth and expansion, and to work in partnership with them to lead this campus.

The Head of School will be involved in leading the planning, leadership and management, safeguarding and standards, and have an oversight of the Britwell Campus, continuing to build on the high profile that is being developed. 

Working together with the Executive Headteacher, the Head of School will provide a consistent framework for all Claycots’ children,but will continue to develop and create a uniqueness and individuality on the Britwell Campus. We will be continuing to develop the Britwell Campus to create a world-class learning environment.

The objectives for this post will be to:

  • lead and operationally manage the Britwell Campus working in partnership with the Town Hall Campus
  • play a central role within our Senior Executive Team, working in partnership with senior colleagues to strategically lead the school
  • promote ambitious expectation for standards, achievement and curriculum enrichment for all children
  • work with and develop strong relations with the Britwell community.
