The governors, staff and children of the Federation wish to appoint a new Head of School at St Martin’s Catholic Primary school who is a highly motivated, caring and energetic leader who will inspire and nurture our children with a broad and creative curriculum.

We are looking for a Head of School who: 

  • Is a practising Catholic with a comprehensive understanding of Catholic education
  • Will work in partnership with the Executive Head and other Head of School to take a strategic role in curriculum development
  • Has vision, energy and a forward-thinking outlook
  • Has experience in Senior Leadership whilst also teaching and will continue this practise as Head of School
  • Be a team worker as well as a team leader 
  • Is an open, honest and effective communicator who leads by example
  • Will take ownership of the school and will become recognised in the community as the Face of the School
  • Is committed to working with children, parents and staff to raise standards
  • Has high expectations and aspirations and will promote and celebrate the achievements of all children 
  • Able to analyse data, develop strategic plans, set targets and monitor and evaluate progress towards these
  • Is approachable, resilient and has a positive “can do” attitude
