Salary: £9.68 to £10.25 per hour (depending on experience). Actual salary £7,301 to £7,731.
Hours: 17½ hours per week, noon–3.30pm Monday–Friday, term time only.

Wooden Hill Primary and Nursery School is looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and committed General Support Assistant to join their dynamic team. The support staff at Wooden Hill School have specific roles, which enhance the learning by supporting a particular aspect of teaching and learning. Support staff are no longer expected to cram many things into their day’s work, with the frustration of feeling that it’s had little impact, but instead have clear and precise job descriptions and a sense of satisfaction of a job well done, knowing that they have made a difference.

This is a varied role with no two days the same; where the successful candidate will work with individuals and small groups of children, from across the school. It may be going over something which the children have done in class that morning or it may be pre-teaching ahead of the class learning and is predominately to ensure that all children keep up with the class learning.
