Finance Officer

Salary: SCP F21–F26 dependent on previous experience within a school.
FTE £21,166–£24,799 pa pro-rata. Part time: 10 hours per week, term time plus INSET days.

We are seeking to appoint a Finance Officer for the growing needs of our busy, friendly school office. We are looking for a person who is dependable, flexible and hard working. You will be responsible for all aspects of financial duties. You will report to the Head of School/Executive Headteacher. 

The person appointed will have experience of financial management and accounting procedures. Knowledge and experience of the SIMS, FMS and CFR finance packages would be desirable although training will be provided. An understanding and knowledge of Health and Safety practices, HR, recruitment and premises would be beneficial.

You should be able to demonstrate the following abilities:

  • Proven organisational and time management skills
  • Able to prioritise workload and use initiative
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Respect confidentiality with sensitivity and judgement
