Cover Supervisor

Required January 2019 or asap.
30 hours per week, term time only, plus 3 training days.
Salary scale D/E: full-time salary £17,972–£21,074 (pro-rata £12,463–£14,615).

We are looking to appoint a Cover Supervisor to oversee classes of students aged 11–16 for which work has been set during the absence of the class teacher. The role will involve ensuring that the class is well managed and students work productively – also providing in class support when no cover is required. Other duties may include small group intervention. This role at Willink, which is a Teaching School, is an excellent opportunity for anyone wishing to gain further experience in a school environment as part of their career development and will offer invaluable experience to anyone wishing to pursue a career in teaching! The post is initially for maternity cover to July 2019 with the very strong possibility of the post becoming permanent.

The Willink is a successful and oversubscribed school. It has 1070 students on roll including 170 in the Sixth Form, and is situated in a pleasant semi-rural setting south west of Reading.
