We are seeking to appoint a reliable, knowledgeable Clerk to our Local Governing Body (LGB) to provide confidential administrative & other relevant support to our LGB and sub-committees (approx. 17 meetings per year).
The clerk plays an important role in the effectiveness of the school’s governing body by providing procedural guidance, record keeping, planning and minute taking. The successful candidate will need to have a flexible approach to working hours, good organisational skills and be proficient in the use of computers and Microsoft Office. The role will be home-based with the need to attend meetings at school, some evening.
The hours for this position are variable but are not expected to average more than 8 per month and will be more concentrated around the meeting times. Experience of Clerking in a school environment, or similar, is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
Salary will be Academy’s Support Staff Pay Scale, point 18–21 (£11.97–£13.03per hour).
