St Dominic Savio is a great place to work at! We are a high performing Catholic school, where the leadership of the school and behaviour of pupils are both ‘Outstanding’. We are a family centred school and value the importance of flexible working patterns for staff. We are looking to appoint a clerk to provide the governors with efficient and reliable administrative support.

Hours of work will vary according to the meeting schedule, but likely to be a minimum of 15 hours during each half term (on average 6 weeks). There is an annual calendar of meeting dates – meetings take place during the school day or in the evening. Additional hours may be required on an ad-hoc basis. This role offers good flexibility with working hours and the ability to work from home.

Key tasks: 

  • Preparing agendas and circulating associated documents
  • Attending and minuting meetings at school
  • Keeping records and advising on aspects of procedure and law
  • We are looking for:
  • An enthusiastic and well organised person
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, maintaining confidentiality at all times
  • Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office
  • Ability to build and maintain professional working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and personnel
