The Propeller Multi Academy Trust was formed in 2013 building upon the success of Fitzwaryn School in Wantage and Kingfisher School in Abingdon. The Trust currently consists of special needs schools only, serving local and regional pupils. We currently have a vacancy for a part time Clerk to the Board of Directors and local Governing Bodies.
We are looking to appoint an exceptional candidate to provide professional clerking services to our board of Directors and Governors. The role will include providing advice to the Directors on governance, constitutional and procedural matters and provide effective administrative support. A full job description can be found on our website.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication, organisational and IT skills, and be able to work independently whilst at the same time forming effective relationships with Directors, Governors and school teams. This post will work on a flexible basis so the successful candidate must be able to organise their own time and work to strict deadlines. A knowledge of multi academy trust and Governing body procedures and previous experience in a similar role is essential.
The job role will be on a flexible basis working 304 hours per year. This is made up of 18 meetings per school year of 144 hours and 160 hours of remaining Clerk tasks (9 meetings held in Wantage and 9 in Abingdon).
Meetings are usually early evening between the hours of 6 and 9pm. The remainder of the hours can be mutually agreed, either at school or homeworking.
If you would like an informal chat before applying, please telephone Carole Hollister on 01235 764504.
Alternatively, a job description and details of the Trust are available on our websites www.thepropelleracademytrust.org.uk, www.fitzwaryn.oxon.sch.uk or www.kingfisher.oxon.sch.uk where you can download an application form and email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
