Waingels, a popular 11–18 school where students achieved above national average in all measures and was identified as “continuing to be good” in a recent OFSTED inspection, is seeking to appoint a highly skilled Art & Design Technician who wants to work in a role where there is ample opportunity to apply their planning, organisational and communication skills.
The Art and Design Technician will be responsible for supporting the delivery of Art and Design at KS3, 4 and A-Level by providing technical support to students and teachers, preparing resources for lessons and maintaining the tools and equipment needed for successful teaching of Art and Design disciplines. The ability to be able to support and advise teachers and students on the use of workshop tools, including drilling, cutting and forming 3D outcomes and to maintain a variety of equipment used in these workshops would be desirable.
The postholder will also act as a first aider; previous experience is desirable but training will also be available.
