1:1 Teaching Assistant

Required ASAP.
Part time: 14 hours per week, afternoons only, 12.30pm–3.20pm, term time only.
The position is based within our Primary site in Key Stage 2.

We currently have a vacancy for a Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a pupil who has Cerebral Palsy.

You will have:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills
  • Experience of working with children
  • A good sense of humour

You also need to be:

  • Resilient
  • Flexible
  • Patient
  • A team player

You will be required to support the pupil during playtimes, lunchtimes as well as in the classroom. The ideal candidate will have experience of working with pupils who are in a wheelchair and are trained in Manual Handling; however, this not essential as training will be provided before the commencement of this role. You will be medically trained to support the child’s individual needs and assist with personal care.
