1:1 Learning Support Assistant

Salary: £24K FTE.
Monday–Friday, 8.30am–3.30pm, 30 hours per week.
Contract type: Full Time, Permanent. 
Term time only plus 3 INSET days.


We are looking for an empathetic, competent, and gentle person to provide 1:1 support to a specific pupil in the classroom, and around the school, ensuring his educational, social, and emotional needs are met.

This role will involve working 1:1 with a little boy in Year 3 with additional needs at Caversham Preparatory School under the direction of the class teacher and SENCO.

The pupil has a statement of special educational needs and requires support with Social, Emotional and Sensory needs to help him to engage and participate fully in all aspects of the curriculum. The LSA will ensure that the pupil can integrate as fully as possible in the activities generally undertaken by the other children in the class and make progress. An understanding and experience of SEND is highly desirable.
