Performance Venue Technician

Leighton Park School is looking to appoint a Music (including film) Dance & Drama Technician to support and assist these departments and the School with any requirements for AV equipment, lighting and technical support. The Technician will ensure all areas within these departments and the Main Hall are prepared and ready for teaching or events to take place.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of the use of AV systems, some knowledge of stage lighting and live sound as well as being able to support the use and general maintenance/repair of a wide range of equipment. The ability to help with the design/build of stage sets is desirable, but not essential.

We require an organised and forward-thinking member of staff to support the Science Department in the delivery of the practical elements of the Science Curriculum primarily supporting the Chemistry and Physics departments.

Excellent people skills and attention to detail are essential, as is a can do attitude and ability to manage and prioritise a varied workload. An ability to follow detailed instructions in the setting up of science experiments will be essential and a science qualification or laboratory experience will be required. Previous school experience is desirable.

Slough and Eton is looking for an additional member to join our Sixth Form staff as a Learning Mentor. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone interested in a career in teaching and with recent experience of university and A-Level work to support our students with their post-16 studies.

Each Learning Mentor oversees a Sixth Form Study Room. They will make sure the students are completing independent work successfully and offer support and guidance to help improve the work set and wider reading needed for maximum success. You will also be pivotal in supporting students with their UCAS applications and wider curriculum experiences.

Previous experience of secondary school employment would be helpful but is not essential as we will provide all the necessary training to help you to be successful. The new members of this team need to be hardworking, dedicated to ensuring students of all abilities can succeed and, crucially, committed to being a great role model for future success.

This is a great opportunity to support an established PE Department as PE Technician with additional responsibility of School Sports Co-ordinator.

The successful candidate will work within our very successful PE Department. The successful candidate will contribute to the provision of PE across the school supporting the department’s technical needs and additionally supporting at after school fixtures. In addition you will work closely with the school sport network manager to support motivate and expand a growing team of volunteer coaches across our schools network, raising the profile PE across the school group thus engaging more students in the change for life programme.

The successful candidate will need to match our ethos: the six Ps which are Polite, Positive, Prompt, Prepared, Productive and Proud.

In addition to this outlook, we are looking for a dynamic, flexible person who is uncompromising in the pursuit of improving standards.

This role will involve working as a PE technician for approx. 4 days per week with the equivalent of one day taking responsibility for School Sport Co-ordination.

Typical responsibilities for the PE Technician will include preparation of resources and setting up gyms halls, pitches etc for practical lessons, dismantling equipment and the replenishing of stock.

In order to support the needs of the students at after school fixtures and to develop the role of SSCO the successful candidate will possess a minimum level one coaching qualification with the desire and commitment to obtain a
level two. A full driving licence and own vehicle are also essential for this role.

The ideal applicant will be an adaptable, keen and enthusiastic person with excellent interpersonal skills. Previous experience in either a similar role would be preferable although training can be given. The successful applicant will possess an A Level or equivalent qualification in PE.

We are looking to appoint a Family Learning Events organiser to support the day-to-day operation of the Clewer Cluster Extended Schools services on behalf of five local schools; Clewer Green First School, Oakfield First School, Queen Anne First School, Trinity St Stephen First School and the Windsor Girls School.

This busy role includes completing administrative tasks as well as liaising with parents, children and various local learning partners (including Eton College Natural History Museum and the Windsor Library) to organise and coordinate Family Learning Events, held at weekends and sometimes during the holidays, approximately one a month, for school children and their families. This requires excellent organisation and communication skills. You will need to be flexible, reliable and show initiative to be successful in this vital role.

  • has excellent customer care skills with experience of dealing with face-to-face interaction
