An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as part of the newly formed Behaviour Intervention Team.

We are looking to appoint a BIT worker to support primary schools predominantly, working with children experiencing challenging behaviour. Through observations and discussions with key stakeholders, you will develop strategies and approaches to support children and young people experiencing difficulties. There will be times when it will be appropriate for you to implement evidence-based interventions directly with pupils to support their inclusion in school.

You will be based in Newbury but need the ability to travel and work across West Berkshire Schools. You will need to be both flexible and organized. You should have very good interpersonal skills and an interest and motivation in problem-solving complex and often emotional
situations.

You will work with a wide variety of people including children, parents, school staff and other professionals.

Experience of working in schools or with challenging children is highly desirable. This role could appeal to all sorts of people; from those wishing to pursue a future career in psychology to people wanting a new challenge or existing Higher Level Teaching Assistants/Emotional Literacy Support Assistants in school.

We are looking to recruit Learning Support Assistants to support children with additional needs. Learning Support Assistant

51 weeks per annum, commencing October 2017 or ASAP.
