The Trustees of The Eden Academy are seeking to appoint a Marketing and Communications Manager to join us from January 2018 to lead marketing and communications services across the Eden Academy.

  • Minimum 6 months working experience in this field
  • For the position(s) which require working on a one-to-one basis with Special Needs children – appropriate experience will be required.

You will work 33.5 hours per week, 8.30am–3.30pm Monday to Friday, to include a lunch-time duty each day plus one hour training per week, term time only (plus 5 INSET days).

Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Skills & Qualifications

  • Seeking candidates ideally with an NVQ in Childcare (up to level 3) / Foundation Degree / EYPS or equivalent. However, will also consider candidates who are looking to develop a career within childcare and interested in studying towards an NVQ.
  • Knowledge of EYFS & OFSTED would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Good IT skills including Microsoft office and other packages.

Forest Bridge School is a new all-age Special Free School (4–16) for children with autism which opened in September 2015 in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead. The aim of the school is to provide a suitable environment with a high level of therapeutic support and excellent teaching to allow pupils with autism to achieve their full potential and to make the most of their intelligence, focus and skills. Forest Bridge School will help each pupil that leaves the school to progress into training, employment or further education.

The aim is for Forest Bridge School to be an outstanding provision for children and young people with autism, which has a rooting in ABA and with each individual pupil’s potential at the heart.

As a member of a class team you will need to:

  • provide excellent ABA teaching to children and young people with autism and associated learning difficulties.
  • provide a high standard of nursing care and support for a child with complex health/nursing needs at school and within the home environment when appropriate.
  • support the Class teacher and ABA Supervisors in ensuring the daily needs of our pupils are met in a professional, competent, safe and fun school environment.

  • Have experience of working with children who have complex epilepsy
