Harpsden Pre-School is recruiting for a Supervisor to start no later than December 2017.

We are a friendly and caring pre-school for children from 2½ to 5 years old. The successful applicant will lead a dedicated and well-qualified team in a lovely country location with an emphasis on learning through play and outdoor learning.

Applicants must have a relevant qualification in Childcare, minimum of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent. Applicants to have a strong commitment to young children and families, a willingness to learn, the ability to work proactively using initiative, and to operate very well as part of a small, strong and supportive team.

Hours to be agreed.

Pay scale £11.12 to £12.44 per hour dependent on experience, plus holiday pay and pension.

Post 1 Hours per week Mon 8:30am–4.30pm,
Tues-Fri 8am-1pm (25hr 45mins pw, Actual salary £10,708)

Post 2 Hours per week Mon 11.45am–4.30pm,
Tues-Fri 11.45am–4pm (21hr 45mins pw, Actual Salary £9,044)

The governors at Highwood are seeking to appoint Early Years Practitioners who will also take on the role of a midday supervisor for both morning/lunch and lunch/afternoon positions. This role is for term time plus 5 inset days. Please state in your application which of the above hours are preferable.

We are looking for a someone who:

  • Can support individuals and small groups make progress with their learning.
  • Will help develop exciting learning opportunities inside and outside the classroom.
  • Has a good standard of Literacy and Numeracy
  • Is a good communicator with all school stakeholders.
  • Has experience of providing intimate care for young children.
  • Experience of Foundation Stage or an EYFS qualification.
  • Is NVQ level 3 Qualified
