Site Operations Manager

The Wren School – a six form entry 11–18 secondary Free School – opened in West Reading in September 2015.

We pride ourselves on being a local school for the local community and our reputation is extremely positive and currently oversubscribed for 2018 intake.

Our exciting new purpose-built school is due to be opened by September 2018 and this includes state of the art education and IT facilities, and is set amongst beautiful surroundings that include a sunken garden and established grounds.

It is our ambition to create a happy and thriving school that will facilitate the growth and development of the community and we’re searching for exceptional people who will share our vision in building the school, quite literally, from the ground up.

The Wren School is seeking to appoint a permanent full time Site Operations Manager (37 hours per week, flexible) – negotiable. They will have overall responsibility for the school site and its physical resources; be responsible for leading, developing and supporting the caretaking team; developing and implementing a School Lettings Management and Community Use strategy and supporting the School Business Manager and other members of The Wren School team, to ensure that the school is ready to open in September 2018.

Salary is set in line with local government NJC salary scales 32–36 (full time equivalent: £29,055–£32,233 pa), negotiable, depending on qualifications and experience.
