Phoenix College is a Community Day School catering for up to 64 pupils aged 11–18 and designated as having emotional, social and/or mental health issues.

This is a new role that will involve a full cleaning service for the school, along with other duties including:

  • Opening and locking up the school buildings.
  • Carrying out grounds and school inspections.
  • Carrying out minor repairs, e.g. clearing blocked drains orreplacing broken window panes, maintenance of the schools fixtures and fittings, painting and decorating.
  • Maintaining the security of the premises and its contents.
  • Responsibility for carrying out H&S and fire equipment checks including fire alarm testing, call point testing.

Site Officer

£18,672–£19,446 FTE • This is a year round post; the College would consider both full time and part time (minimum 50%) applicants.

You will provide a high standard of grounds and site maintenance work, as part of the planned and reactive maintenance schedules of the College, and aid the site and College development by supporting the Site Manager, consequently allowing the whole site to operate efficiently and meet the needs of the College Development Plan.

Full-time, 37 hours per week, 8am–4pm, Monday–Friday, term time plus 2 weeks

You will undertake general maintenance and cleaning duties in order to ensure that school buildings and the school site are maintained to a high standard and are secure. Maintenance includes repairs, painting tasks, basic plumbing and carpentry.
