Assistant Head Teacher
(L1 - L5)

Full time - Permanent; initially a Year 5/6 Class   •  Start date: 1st January, 2011 (or sooner)

Required for January 2011 (or earlier if possible): a proven, successful classroom practitioner, ready and prepared to extend their school leadership role in this unique development opportunity.

Since 2006 our two schools have been a ‘federation’ offering service to our two communities. We are forward looking and are striving for high standards in all that we do. We have clear educational objectives (including the creative development of our new curriculum using the International Primary Curriculum) set out in our school improvement plan, but also boast an idyllic rural setting, team focused staff, commitment to our children and families, and enhanced provision through extended services partnerships.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate:

  • High standards of achievement in upper Key Stage 2;
  • current knowledge of good primary practice;
  • successful curriculum leadership;
  • a clear vision of how they will develop their leadership role across two schools;
  • and a commitment to work in partnership with all in the school community.
